About me
Latest research
It was an honour for me to conduct research on the meaning of life together with Prof. Tatjana Schnell. These efforts resulted in a study on everyday meaningful and enjoyable activities in 2022. Based on the findings of my study, which examined the connection between meaning and joy in daily activities, I would like to show you how employees and leaders can benefit from this knowledge. Imagine what it would be like if you didn't just see your work activities as obligations or routines, but as meaningful and fulfilling. The insights from my study reveal that people who perceive their daily activities as both meaningful and enjoyable experience them as more significant. This has direct implications for motivation, satisfaction, and performance. As an employee, you can consciously strive to connect your tasks and projects with personal meaning while making them enjoyable. By deliberately selecting tasks that you find meaningful and enjoyable, you can increase your motivation and achieve a higher level of satisfaction in your workday. But leaders can also benefit from these insights. You have the opportunity to create work environments that promote both meaningful and enjoyable activities. By giving your employees the opportunity to take on tasks they find meaningful and enjoyable, you can enhance their motivation, engagement, and performance. This leads to improved employee retention and a positive work climate. In addition to implementing these insights in practice, I also encourage you to reflect on your personal sense of purpose. By consciously exploring your own values, goals, and motivations, you create a clear starting point for shaping a fulfilling workday. This not only facilitates decision-making but also enables you to approach your work with more joy and meaning. Feel free to contact me to learn more about how I can support you as a leader or employee in enriching your work environment with personal meaning and joy. Together, we can create a work culture that fosters both individual growth and organizational success.
